Light for Life works with a range of partners to provide some of its services and to work to identify gaps in services, priorities in relation to housing and the community in Southport and risks in relation individuals in Southport and Bootle who would benefit from additional support.

Our CEO is currently Vice-chair of the Area Partnership for Southport. Along with colleagues from other agencies and Councillors, the Partnership sets priorities for the community around the Economy, Health and Wellbeing and Housing. Greta is the Housing Representative to the Partnership and has been able to provide the group with information, statistics and risk identification which has shaped the direction of travel. Working with other partners in the Operations Group, the CEO has been able to discuss high priority issues such as aggressive begging and street drinking and negotiate appropriate interventions for the future with the Police and Public Health.

Light for Life works closely with Southport College to identify students with additional needs outside of the educational environment which the organisation is able to address.

The charity works with Southport’s Foodbank, based at Lakeside Church to ensure that those facing economic crisis are able to provide food for themselves and their families whilst agencies work to bring about positive outcomes in relation to their individual circumstances.

In the day-to-day delivery of its services, the Housing Centre works with a number of agencies in the management of individual cases, including various departments within SMBC and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
