ASB / Hate Crime

Light for life employs a team of Victim Intervention Practitioners, funded by Merseyside’s Police Crime Commissioner. As part of VICTIM CARE MERSEYSIDE, this service provides support to high risk victims of hate crime and asp across the Merseyside region. Referrals are received via Merseyside Police generally, although self-referrals and referrals from other agencies are accepted.

An intervention plan is developed around a person’s individuals needs and the team works with the victim until issues are fully resolved.

Restorative Justice

All staff at light for life are trained to level 3 in restorative justice and work with agencies to use this approach in bringing about alternative outcomes to some crimes, based on decisions made by magistrates. For further details please contact our Housing Centre on 01704 501256.
